Shane joined the firm as an Associate upon his call to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2017. He completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geography at Memorial University in 2013, and his Juris Doctor at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University in 2016. While at Dalhousie, Shane also completed a specialization in Environmental Law through the Marine & Environmental Law Institute.

While studying at Dalhousie, Shane also published papers and presented at conferences in the field of environmental law, and was the 2016 winner of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Foundation Law Student Essay Prize.
